Our story

Built by players,
for players.

We got tired of texting "who's in?" to a group chat. We wanted to create groups, games, brackets and track results. So we built The Crew — the home base your crew actually deserves.

How it started

A Monday night problem.

The game itself was never the problem. It was everything around it. Endless group texts for Monday night games and email threads just to find out who was in, who was out, and whether anyone remembered last week's scores. Every week started with chaos.

Frustrated with the constant back-and-forth, a 4.0 recreational player who'd been running the same Thursday night crew for years built The Crew — a persistent home base for recurring pickleball groups. No tournament infrastructure. No public leaderboards. No ads. Just your crew, your games, and a history that never disappears.

Our mission
"Make every casual pickleball group feel like a real season — without any of the overhead."

We believe the best rivalries happen between friends who've played 200 games together. We're building the tools to honor those rivalries, preserve that history, and make every session feel like it counts.

What we believe

Our values.

🔒

Private by default

No public leaderboards. No ads. No discovery feeds. Your group's data belongs to your group — full stop.

Zero friction

Every second of setup is a second not playing. We obsess over reducing friction — from invite to first point in under a minute.

📖

History matters

The receipts should always be there. Every match, every session, every head-to-head — preserved automatically, forever.

The team

Who's behind it.

Built by a recreational player who got tired of texting "who's in?" every week — and validated by the crew who refused to let it ship until it was actually good.

The Founder

Builder

Hooked on pickleball after living in Naples, FL, for 5 years, learning from Collin Johns and other local pros. Now a 4.0 rec player splitting time between Florida and Connecticut, with 30 years in software sales & marketing. He decided the world needed one less spreadsheet, one less text string and one app for everyone's pickleball crew.
